Understanding The Enrollments Tab

The Enrollment tab in SamaCare is a key feature, empowering you to effectively manage patient enrollments directly within the platform. This valuable tool streamlines the enrollment process, saving you time and effort. Within the Enrollment tab you can:

  • View Patient Details: Gain access to comprehensive information for each patient, including the enrollment ID and status (submitted or draft).
  • Program and Drug Details: Access information about the associated program and drug for each enrollment.
  • Start an Authorization from Enrollment: Streamline your workflow by initiating an authorization process directly from an enrollment.
  • Archiving Enrollments: To maintain an organized and focused dashboard, archive any unnecessary enrollments.


The enrollment feature is currently available for the following drugs:

  • KRYSTEXXA
  • TEPEZZA
  • UPLIZNA
  • SYFOVRE

The Enrollments feature in SamaCare provides several operational efficiencies. Here are some key advantages:

  • Save Time and Money: Directly enroll patients in pharma support services after Prior Authorization (PA) submission or as a standalone process by utilizing existing patient information in SamaCare. This minimizes redundant data entry and streamlines patient management.
  • Improved Accuracy: Automated processes and integrations significantly reduce the need for manual data entry, minimizing errors and eliminating the need to navigate multiple external portals or forms.
  • Efficient Enrollment: By reducing manual steps and ensuring data consistency, the enrollment process is more efficient and less likely to experience bottlenecks.
  • Integrated Workflow: The system consolidates all necessary patient and prescriber data for both enrollments and prior authorizations, ensuring a seamless workflow across administrative tasks.
  • Enhanced Productivity: By simplifying the administrative patient access funnel, teams across departments can work more efficiently, reducing workload and improving service delivery.

Initiate An Enrollment

To initiate a new Enrollment, follow the steps provided below:

  • Navigate to the "Enrollments" tab: Locate the "Enrollments" tab on the left-hand navigation panel.
  • Select "New": Click on the "New" button located in the top right corner.
  • Choose your drug: Select the desired drug under the "Program" section.
  • Enter patient information: Fill in the required patient, insurance, provider, prescription, and location details.
  • Submit the enrollment: Submit the completed enrollment form.


On the following screen, you can download your enrollment and/or return to the enrollment homepage.

Consent is a crucial part of the enrollment process. SamaCare offers flexibility in how consent is handled:

  • Upload Consent: You can directly upload the patient's consent form within the Enrollment Process.
  • Hub Support: The hub will take the initiative to follow up with the patient for consent, reducing the immediate burden on your team.

Customizing Your View

  • Search - Use the search field to find Authorizations by Patient or Drug name.
  • Show Archived - Toggle this option to view archived enrollments.
  • New - Click here to start a new Enrollment.
  • Ellipsis - Select this option to delete or archive your enrollment.
  • Menu - To customize a column, click the Ellipsis icon located at the top of the column. This allows you to pin, sort, filter, hide, or manage the column's display.
  • Up or Down Arrow / Sort - To sort the data within a column, click the sorting icon at the top of the desired column.
  • Rows Per Page - Use this option to specify the number of rows displayed per page.
  • Next and Previous Icon - Utilize these controls to navigate between different pages.
