How to Use the SamaCare CoPilot Extension to Change Authorization Status

If you're looking to change the status of an authorization using the SamaCare CoPilot extension, follow these simple steps to get started:

Step 1 - Locate the Purple Lotus Icon

• First, ensure that the purple lotus icon is visible in your browser. This icon should be positioned next to the puzzle piece icon to the right of your search bar. If you don't see the purple lotus icon right away, don't worry—simply click the puzzle piece icon, and you’ll be able to see an icon labeled 'SamaCare CoPilot'.

Step 2 - Pin the CoPilot Icon for Easy Access

• Once you can see the SamaCare CoPilot purple lotus icon, click the pin icon next to it to ensure it remains visible on your browser toolbar, making it easier to access in the future.

Step 3 - Open a New Tab or Navigate to the Relevant Authorization

• Now, open a new tab with the authorization status you wish to change (or navigate to that tab if it’s already open). Once you're on the relevant authorization page, click the purple lotus icon to open the CoPilot extension popup.

Step 4 - Search for the Patient

• In the CoPilot popup window, you’ll see a field labeled "Patient." Start typing in the name of the patient you’re working with. You may encounter multiple duplicate entries for the patient, so be sure to check and select the correct one to ensure you're working with the right authorization.

Step 5 - Select the Authorization to Update

• Scroll down within the CoPilot extension popup until you see the ‘Existing Authorization’ field. From the dropdown menu, select the correct authorization that you would like to modify.

Step 6 - Change the Status

• Once you've selected the correct authorization, scroll a little further down within the CoPilot extension to the field labeled ‘Select Status’. Choose the new status from the dropdown menu. You can upload any files here as well

Step 7 - Save Your Changes

• Don't forget to press the Save to SamaCare button at the bottom of the CoPilot extension popup to apply your changes. This will update the status of the authorization accordingly.
