Step 6-Completeing Authorization Within the Portal

In this step you will be completing the authorization within the payer portal itself as you normally would. SamaCare will pre-fill all the information you have entered previously.
Login and Complete Authorization
- You will need to log in to the payer portal with your credentials.
- You can auto fill the username and password by clicking on the lotus symbol.
- Once you're in the portal, continue to submit your prior authorization as usual.

Confirm Response
- Once you have successfully completed the PA within the portal, click on the lotus to capture the payer response.
- Status: Click on the drop-down to select the payer response.
- Take a Screenshot: Click on "Take a Screenshot" to capture the payer response.
- To ensure the screenshot is saved to Samacare, confirm "Add when saving screenshot" is selected.
- Once a response has been recorded, you will be redirected to SamaCare and will now be able to locate the submitted authorization from your authorizations page.

- You will be taken to your main authorizations page and will now be able to search and locate the submitted authorization from that view.
- You can locate the screenshot taken from the above step within the file attachments of the authorization.
